To guarantee the efficacy and legality of the proposed method, it is essential to follow a rigorous protocol that includes careful assessment and appropriate patient selection. This requires assembling a specialized multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive support throughout the treatment. It is essential that this team is well versed in the main types of balloon available and their specific indications, in order to customize the treatment according to the individual needs of each patient.
The process includes performing the implantation of the selected balloon, followed by careful monitoring and continuous follow-up to identify and treat any complications that may arise. In addition, it is important to be prepared to perform the balloon explantation if necessary, always with full legal compliance and attention to safety standards.
Given the importance of this training, we emphasize that we seek to offer quality education through the Scolla certification, as well as the MEC certification provided by the Univertix University Center, ensuring that all courses offered meet the highest standards of excellence and credibility.
The student will be able to perform the proposed method, properly assessing and selecting the patients chosen for the method. They will also be able to assemble and adapt a multidisciplinary team to support the treatment, knowing the main types of balloon and their individualized indications. They will master the implantation and explantation techniques for the main types of balloon, performing and understanding the implantation of adjustable, non-adjustable and deglutable intragastric balloons. They will also be trained in the endoscopic technique for implanting and explanting adjustable and non-adjustable intragastric balloons. They will identify and treat complications inherent to the method, guaranteeing the safety and efficacy of the procedures performed. With this set of skills, you will be prepared to act effectively and safely in the application of this procedure, contributing to the health and well-being of patients.
