He holds a bachelor’s degree in medicine from the Federal University of Paraná (2008), completed his medical residency at the Evangelical University of Paraná (2010), and completed his medical residency at the Federal University of Paraná (2012). He has experience in the field of medicine, with an emphasis on endocrinology and metabolism.

A physician who graduated from the Universidad Nacional del Nordeste, he is a specialist in General Surgery certified by the National Ministry of Public Health and certified by the Argentine Association of Surgery. He holds certification in Laparoscopic Surgery from the same institution and is a full member of the Argentine Association of Surgery, where he serves on the Committee on Laparoscopic and Minimally Invasive Surgery. He completed a fellowship in Minimally Invasive Surgery Research at the University of California Medical Center in San Diego (USA), as well as training in bariatric surgery in Goiânia (Brazil) and at the Clínica del Country in Bogotá (Colombia). He was a fellow in the Ministry of Culture and Education’s High-Level Human Resources Training Program. He is currently Director of the Bariatric and Minimally Invasive Surgery Department at the CIEN Center, Adjunct Professor of Surgery, and head of the Human Anatomy Department at the U.N.N.E. School of Medicine. In addition, he served as a member of the Honorable Academic Council at the same institution.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in medicine from the Evangelical College of Paraná (1990), a master’s degree in medicine (surgical clinic) from the Federal University of Paraná (1995), and a Ph.D. in medicine (surgical clinic) from the Federal University of Paraná (1999). He currently serves as an Adjunct Professor of Traumatology, Clinical Surgery II, and Methodology at the Evangelical University of Paraná. In addition, he is the Coordinator of the Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery Research Track in the Graduate Program in Principles of Surgery at the Mackenzie Evangelical University Hospital in Curitiba and at the Mackenzie Evangelical College of Paraná. He also serves as Coordinator of the Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery Service at the Mackenzie Evangelical University Hospital in Curitiba, Coordinator of the Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery Service at Rocio Hospital in Campo Largo, and Coordinator of the Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery Service at Hospital das Nações. In addition, he serves as Coordinator of the Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery Program at AMIL and is a member of the clinical staff at Nossa Senhora das Graças Hospital. He is part of the Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery Service at Clinipam’s Quality of Life Center and serves as Coordinator of the Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery Outpatient Clinic at Santa Cruz Hospital. He holds the distinction of Fellow of The International College of Surgeons and is a Full Member of the Brazilian College of Digestive Surgery, the Brazilian Society of Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery, the Brazilian College of Surgeons, the Brazilian Society of Laparoscopic and Robotic Surgery (SOBRACIL), and the International Federation for Bariatric Surgery. In addition, he is a member of the Inter-Society Relations Committee of the Brazilian Society of Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery.
