On May 9 and 10, 2025, we will be meeting in Curitiba with the world's leading experts in the treatment of plantar hyperhidrosis. This will be the first Endoscopic Lumbar Sympathectomy event with practical activities and the aim of teaching hands-on surgery and addressing all aspects of the treatment of the disease.
The Lumbar Sympathectomy Course offers an intense educational experience, based on practical and advanced methodologies designed to meet the needs of different levels of experience and learning modalities. Practices include:
Participation in live surgeries: Students will have the opportunity to observe and participate in real surgical procedures, guided by experienced surgeons, providing an in-depth understanding of the techniques used in the clinical environment.
Hands-on animal-lab training: To further hone surgical skills, the course offers practical laboratory training sessions with animal models, allowing students to simulate and practice procedures in a controlled and safe environment.
Hands-on cadaver-lab training: Depending on the modality chosen, students can also take part in hands-on cadaver-lab sessions. This approach offers a unique opportunity to train in realistic anatomical conditions, deepening practical knowledge of surgical techniques.
Each of these modalities has been designed to maximize practical learning, ensuring that students leave the course prepared to apply the knowledge they have acquired in clinical practice.
