Plastic surgery has come a long way, but there are still some cases that challenge us. To overcome some obstacles we have to think differently, deconstruct and reconstruct the old solution. Healthier lifestyles have brought patients to our offices with a previously unsolved problem: abdominal diastasis in thin people with no excess skin to justify an abdominoplasty. Making large abdominal incisions is becoming less and less justified due to the emergence of technologies that help to retract the skin, such as lasers.
So the next big step is to be able to treat these patients' abdominal diastasis in a minimally invasive way. Something that was extremely difficult with a mini-abdominoplasty incision. To solve the case of these thin patients with a high muscle index, with little or no sagging, we turned to video surgery and robotics for the technology needed to take this next step. In this course we will teach you how to solve this major challenge in a safe, practical and efficient way, using materials available in any hospital that performs video surgery. This is yet another great tool for a public that is increasingly demanding low-invasive solutions with ever-smaller scars. To be able to offer this product in combination with liposuction for definition and technologies to reduce sagging is to take a step into the future.
This course has been designed to provide the best experience for those interested in improving their knowledge of minimally invasive abdominal plication techniques. The course covers theoretical aspects of abdominal wall pathologies, surgical techniques, perioperative care and other aspects involved in these procedures. It also features some of the world's leading experts in these techniques.
