NEXT CLASS IN 2025

The course will be taught in two stages: The first stage is Distance Learning with online classes focused on the equipment and step-by-step techniques of the main surgeries. The second stage is face-to-face. Here students will consolidate their theoretical knowledge and carry out practical activities of progressive complexity, in specially designed practical training with inanimate models and anatomical parts. They will also have the opportunity to watch and discuss live surgeries.

Concept, Practice & Immersive Environment

The training is theoretical and practical and will cover the main topics in laparoscopy, discussing methodologies for performing surgery.

All training will involve the following knowledge:

Equipment Knowledge: Includes theory on laparoscopic instruments and practice in simulations to familiarize with precise handling.
Surgical Skills: Doctors take part in practical training to hone essential motor skills, as well as facing clinical case simulations to develop decision-making skills.
Laparoscopic Procedures: Lectures detail the main procedures step by step, while practical demonstrations offer a visual and applied understanding.
Complications and Prevention: The analysis of results and complications is covered, with a focus on strategies to avoid and manage adverse events.

Day 1 (Monday)

19:00-19:45: Anatomy and surgical technique - Laparoscopic inguinal herniorrhaphy.

Gynecology module
