Hysteroscopy is considered the gold standard examination for investigation of the uterine cavity and its disorders.
Diagnostic hysteroscopy allows the visualization of the anatomical structures of the uterine cavity, as well as the identification of abnormal findings, such as myomas, polyps, synechiae, uterine malformations, among others.
Surgical hysteroscopy, on the other hand, with the incorporation of appropriate instruments, allows the visualization and treatment of intra uterine lesions in a single procedure ("see and treat" principle), either in an outpatient setting, with the use of the Bettocchi set, or in a hospital setting, with the use of the resectoscope.

This is a hybrid immersive course, with a total duration of 30 hours. The classes will be distributed into two online days and two face-to-face days, with training in the training center and a third face-to-face day in the operating room.
During the online classes, which will take place at the beginning of the same week as the face-to-face course, from 19:30 to 21:30, participants will have an introduction to the subject and theoretical background, totaling 4 hours.
The face-to-face classes will consist of two days of consolidating theoretical knowledge and focusing on technical principles and instruments in the morning, followed by specially designed hands-on training on inanimate simulation models and animal models in diagnostic and surgical hysteroscopy, using the Bettocchi system and the resectoscope in the SCOLLA laboratory, totaling 16 hours.
On the third day, participants will have the opportunity to train "hands-on" with real patients in the operating room of the Erasto Gaertner Hospital, under the supervision of a team of gynecological surgeons, for a total of 10 hours.
The course objectives are to provide knowledge and training for the participant to recognize the different hysteroscopy instruments and their mounting, to understand the correct use of the different forms of energy and the risks associated with the procedures, and to develop technical skills for performing diagnostic hysteroscopy exams and surgical hysteroscopy procedures.
