Immersion in

Hepatobiliary-Pancreatic Surgery

August 8–10, 2025

The 1st Edition of the Hepato-Biliary-Pancreatic Surgery Immersion Course was carefully designed to provide a comprehensive experience, combining theory and practice. The course covers everything from common pathologies to the most complex cases, ensuring a comprehensive, high-level education.

The theoretical component will be taught by renowned experts through lectures on the most relevant topics in the field, as well as in-depth discussions of clinical cases.

During the practical portion, participants will have the opportunity to observe a demonstration day featuring live surgeries. In addition, realistic simulations of the main techniques will be conducted using simulators, along with hands-on training on live models.

The goal of the course is to help students develop the essential skills they need to apply the knowledge they have acquired in their hospitals, thereby improving their surgical practice with greater safety and precision.

Methodology

The 1st Edition of the Hepato-Biliary-Pancreatic Surgery Immersion Course was designed to offer an integrated approach combining theory and practice, ensuring in-depth learning that is applicable to surgical practice. The course combines lectures, interactive discussions, and hands-on training to maximize knowledge retention and the development of technical skills.

  • Lectures: Taught by renowned experts, covering the most common conditions and the most complex cases in hepatobiliary-pancreatic surgery.
  • Clinical Case Discussions: Detailed analysis of real-life situations to foster clinical reasoning and evidence-based decision-making.
  • Ongoing Mentoring: Support via a WhatsApp group with the course coordinators to answer questions and provide educational support.
  • Live Surgeries and Demonstration Videos: Participants will have the opportunity to observe actual surgical procedures, with detailed explanations from experts.
  • Realistic Simulations: Use of advanced simulators to train students in key surgical techniques in a safe and controlled environment.
  • Hands-on Training: Practical sessions on live models, allowing participants to apply the techniques they have learned under the direct supervision of mentors.

This really helps us recognize the small details that often go unnoticed in our daily lives—with the help of the great professionals here in the course—and improve them. So it’s a really great course; the whole team deserves congratulations!

Dr. Rogério Filho

Cardiovascular

The course helps standardize our technique, builds on everything we've already been studying, has a really great structure, and was quite intense.

Dr. José Junior

Cardiovascular

The course is extremely educational, with lectures covering both the theoretical and practical aspects. They teach us all the standard procedures for laparoscopic colorectal surgery, and this will certainly be of great help to us in our clinical practice with patients.
