1st International Symposium:

Hernia Surgery for the General Surgeon

MINI FELLOWSHIP OPPORTUNITY | JUNE 06-09, 2024

Coming soon

Salvador, Bahia

In the year in which we don't have the Brazilian Hernia Congress, we want to offer our Brazilian and Latin American colleagues a complete event, covering all the day-to-day techniques of the General Surgeon in the Abdominal Wall, so that they can deliver better results to their patients and solve the vast majority of cases that are referred to them. Hernia and gallbladder surgeries are the procedures we perform most often as general surgeons. Unlike gallbladder surgeries, operating on a hernia means having to master several techniques. From the simplest inguinal hernia to larger, recurrent inguinal hernias, from the common incisional hernia to the opportunity to close diastasis using minimally invasive surgery. This Symposium will give you, the General Surgeon working in any hospital, what you need to operate more and better on less complex abdominal hernias, as well as recognizing the cases that should be referred to a specialist so that your patient gets the best results.

A chance to improve his day-to-day surgery, preparing him to be more efficient and expanding the range of options for patients who come to him with hernia cases.

This topic will be thoroughly debated by experienced professionals during the 1st International Symposium: Hernia Surgery for the General Surgeon, which will be held shortly in the city of Salvador, Bahia.

A dynamic, interactive event full of debates, surgeries, technical demonstrations and discussions of clinical cases. In addition, realistic simulation is a possibility through hands-on practical training on simulators and live models.

It will be an honor to welcome you to this event, which promises to be a great success.

We're waiting for you!

* Networking opportunities with speakers, fellow surgeons and industry present on site.

Theoretical and practical hands-on course on June 6th and 9th
In addition to all the activities mentioned in the theoretical course, during the event there will be two days of practical activities, where the student will have to choose one of the surgical topics presented and choose one of the days of June 6 or 9 to participate in the Mini Fellow.

Dynamics of the Mini Fellow shifts - June 6th or 9th:
* There will be 04 or 05 operating rooms, each room will have 04 students;
* Each surgeon/student will choose one of the topics presented (inguinal hernias (Liechtenstein/TAP), ventral hernias (IPUM / VentralTAPP/ SCOLA));
