This topic will be thoroughly debated by experienced professionals during the 4th Edition of the Immersion Course in Mini Invasive Bariatric Surgery | Focus on Bariatric Innovations to be held in Curitiba, PR.

A dynamic, interactive event filled with debates, surgeries, technical demonstrations, and discussion of clinical cases. Also, realistic simulation as a possibility through hands-on practical training on simulators and live models.

METHODOLOGY

Friday: Registrants will take part in lectures and clinical case discussions, live surgery broadcasts, as well as the opportunity to network with speakers, fellow surgeons and industry present on site.

Saturday and Sunday: hands-on practical classes with intense training on simulators and live models under the mentorship of the event's teacher-coordinators, in the operating room of the Scolla campus.
Free dynamics: Online mentoring with the course coordinators and mentors.

* Surgeries performed on cadavers by the experts, in a didactic, step-by-step manner, for each group of students enrolled. Perfect Sleeve Surgery; Perfect Bypass Surgery; Single Anastomosis Gastric Bypass Surgery; SADIS Surgery; Bipartition Surgeries.
After training in the cadaver lab, the students will train in all the bariatric anastomoses on simulators.
Finally, the surgeries will then be replicated on live models.

Student profile

Applicants must be medical graduates with a medical residency in general surgery or digestive tract surgery.
